Butte MT!

It's been quite a while since our last post, but sitting here looking out my new office window at the snow-capped mountains and the peaceful morning, I felt the need to share a few thoughts.

As many of you know, we moved to Butte, MT on August 23, 2013.  We moved into a lovely house right across the alley from the Mjelde family (Sam's sister and family).  They have been nothing but wonderful.

Mostly due to the Mjelde's, it's funny how much I already feel at home even in this small town of Montana. I am surprised that this original California girl lives in Montana, but life changes and here is where I find myself.  Happy in small town America, Montana.  Other than the sunshine, I'm not sure I was ever meant for California.  I'm feeling quite philosophical this morning and I could go on....

Addison is growing very fast.  Even though she has up to this point fit into 6-9 month clothing (now she is 14 months), I'm starting to see her outgrow the length of these clothes and have to move into some longer items.  Wish I could go to the Just Between Friends sale to buy her some warm clothes for the winter.

I came home from work yesterday at lunch time to find Sam and Addy jamming out to the Pandora station LMFAO - Addison standing with full on hip movement (maybe I'll get Sam to upload the video).  Then, I encouraged her to walk toward me and she did!!  We then encouraged her to walk toward Sam - a few steps away - again she did, smiling the whole time.  And back and forth she went.  So exciting!  I know I'm in for it when she starts running across the room by herself, but I couldn't be more proud to see my little girl walk.  She is also saying tons of things - this mornings addition was "nana" for banana.  Yesterday I heard her clearly say "bear" for the first time and the day before it was "apple".  She's even saying "up please" which sounds more like "up peas", but absolutely adorable none the less.  She is learning to share with her cousin Sarah and last night they took a bath together.  I'm not sure there is anything cuter than that.

I have so much more to say, but I ought to start working....  Hello to all and we miss everyone!

Updates

Busy season completed. Vacation complete. Back to work.

Addison is getting bigger by the day. While on vacation she started cutting her first tooth. So cute to see those pearly whites! She is now waving hi and bye bye, shaking her head no, continually pulling her self up and starting to cruise. Growing so fast!

Much too long!

Unfortunately, busy season doesn't allow me much time to blog about my adorable little girl. However, she just keeps getting more cute and incredible every day, so I better start to catch up!

Yesterday, Addy & Daddy went to Addy's first swim lesson at the YMCA. Apparently Addison was star of the show- she was the youngest after all, and was quite a champ. Daddy took her underwater and she didn't even cry! She had a great time splashing around and is looking forward to her next swim time on Friday next week!

In other news, she has been "army crawling" for about 3 weeks now. I wig I knew the exact date it began :(...

She has also had some fun times with the Shallbetter girls recently playing ponies and watching movies! The girls have done a great job takin care of her!

Responding!

Addison is responding now to her name! Last night at the dinner table Sam and I alternated saying Addy and she would turn to us as we said her name. She didn't look up when we said other names... So cute and exciting!!! Another milestone for our beautiful little girl!

Radio Silence

It's hard to keep up with the blogging, but I think it's definitely worthwhile, so I shall continue as much as I can.

Addison turned 5 months today. Is that possible? Daddy finished his EMT class - yay! And it was 12/12/12. Addy may live to see the next 12/12/12, she would be 100 - or 99? Too much thought for this time of night.

A few updates:
Addison's first boy cousin was born on 12/8. He is a whole 4 days old. Addison met him before he was even 1 day old. He is super cute and hairy and resembles a little old man.
Addison can now hold a sitting position for around 15 seconds at a time, mommy is proud.
We attended the Shriners Christmas party a couple weekends ago and Addison got all dressed up for her first Christmas.
Also, Addison had her first ear infection :(. She has been on amoxicillin for over a week now and the infection is all cleared up!

Snug as a Bug

Addy is super adorable in her new car seat that Nana got for her! She also loves the handmade car seat blanket from Auntie April. We are off to Western Pleasure Guest Ranch for the Shriners Xmas party. Fun!
