Oh it is coming!
Addison just rolled over!! I left her on her tummy and I came back to her in her back! Haven't actually seen her do it yet, but I am sure that will come. Yesterday, I left her on the ottoman and returned to see her head off the edge, eeeck! She has been scooting herself around, the little punk! Oh, and did I mention she started drinking apple juice?? Just kidding. :)

So big so fast!!
Addison is growing like a weed! I can tell just by trying to hold her up. She is getting heavier by the day. I think that is why she has started to take good naps, you have to sleep to grow, right?

The many faces of Addison in the Morn
Yesterday was October 15th, and because of the busy day, I didn't get to see my daughter awake, at all. :(. Today, every moment will be cherished.

Stress & Time
Oh babies - they are beautiful and incredible and wow, they change your life. I think the biggest difference in our lives is that now instead of two people each being able to contribute to whatever goal we have in mind, only one is typically able to participate while the other is taking care of this beautiful child (aka "black hold of need"). Don't get me wrong, she is absolutely incredible, but I'd be lying if I said that I wouldn't mind an occasional break. It's tough. What I have to remember is that Addison is one of our goals. Every minute we spend engaging with her, feeding her, caring for her, is contributing to her future. To this wonderful child that we have brought into the world. She is and forever will be absolutely precious. Each moment with her is precious and the time that she is this size, where she has so many needs, is incredibly precious.
We are moving next month to Spokane. Which is great, minus all the work that moving includes. Not only are we trying to move, but we also are trying to finish up about 12 million little tiny projects in our place so that it is really nice for our new tenants - aka the Awesome Oppligers :). Tomorrow, my fab sister, April, is coming to watch after Addison while Sam and I work as quickly and as hard as possible to get all those little things done around the house. I am so thankful for each person who is willing to give us a hand and give my daughter the attention she deserves while we try to get everything done. I will have to make a list of everything we get done tomorrow so that I can feel accomplished!
Today, we made a lot of progress on the move and we got to spend the evening with my parents and April. It was quite a nice time. Sam and I really enjoyed the time with my family and I am so thankful that we have the kind of family that we can enjoy so much of. Today we celebrated my Dad's big 5-0. I think he's young, but I'm not sure how he feels about that :). We celebrated by having a "picnic" like we used to do in S. California when we were kids. Complete with crossoint sandwiches and topped off with German Chocolate Cake. Thank you Dad for having a birthday and thank you Mom for a delicious cake!

Woes of a new mom
Can someone please explain to me why it is not required to have a changing station in, at the very least, the women's bathroom? It's really not about the diaper change - have you ever tried to hold a baby while you unbuckle and unzip your pants?? Mind you, as a new mom, you don't exactly have a lot of patience when you need to use the restroom because you don't have the biggest bladder. This just complicates the situation!
In this dilemma, you can see the results below.

Overstimulated baby
Addison has barely slept all day. I think that the air compressor and chop saw might have had something to do with it. We have successfully installed the trim in the dining room and kitchen today. It is looking amazing!! Now a little family time, playing catch phrase with mom and d-dad.
Also, happy 50th to my dad!

First day of daycare today :(
Addy had her first day of daycare today. We have decided that on the one day each week that Sam's school and my work overlap we will have Addison cared for by a lady that takes care of a few children at a time out of her home. The lady is truly incredible, playing with the children all day - doing puzzles, reading, listening to music, etc. I think it was harder for Sam to leave her there than it was for me. Granted, I have been working 3 days a week for the past month. I am sure once he gets home he will be very excited to see her.

The little things!
It's amazing how the little things are the most incredible things. Addison is figuring out how to bat at something she is looking at, it is so neat to watch! She is absolutely adorable. She can't seem to decide which is better, batting at something or chewing on her hands, which are quite tasty.
Oh, and did I mention I love the moby?
