Amidst the moving and hectic schedule, we escaped for the eve and day of Thanksgiving out to MT to the Cornett "homestead". We were blessed to spend Thanksgiving with Sam's Uncle Mark and his fiancé Nancy along with Gma and D-dad. I think Addison would have been happier if she had gotten her hands on some mashed potatoes (like cousin Sarah), but she still enjoyed her Thanksgiving nonetheless.
Addison's great Uncle Mark just won an award for the Beas blues bassist of the Inland Empire Blues Society, and sI am sure she would have nominated him too! Addison spent much of the evening watching G Uncle Mark and Daddy as they played guitars and just enjoyed every second of it.
As usual Gma adorned the table with delicious Thanksgiving delights and I contributed by making Phillips style deviled eggs. I didn't get the eggs prepared until almost time for dinner so only about half were eaten by the end of dinner. When I went to bed around 10, there were close the same number remaining. Much to my dismay, when I woke in the morning... Around 9, there was not an ounce of deviled egg remaining. I am thankful that the Cornett family enjoys a bit of Phillips cooking!
